This is the BEST basil dressing recipe that I’ve tried. Not super good for you with all that Mayo, but it’s okay to splurge sometimes right? I tend to use whatever basil I have in abundance, but my personal fave’s are Sweet, Napoletano, and Thai. Try it with your favorite variety and tell me what you think.

Ingredients
- 1 cup mayonnaise ( I listened to my Mama & always use Best Foods )
- 1 cup chopped green onion
- 1 cup chopped fresh Basil leaves
- ¼ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice ( about 2 lemons worth)
- 2 tsp. chopped garlic
- 2 tsp. anchovy paste ( don’t skip this stuff. I know it sounds gross, but it adds lots of flavor)
- 2 tsp. kosher salt
- 1 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
- 1 cup sour cream
Instructions
- Put everything in the blender except the sour cream and blend until smooth. Add the sour cream and process just until it’s blended. Refrigerate until ready to use.
