Rudbeckia ‘Goldstrum’ (Black-Eyed Susan)

One of the best plants for the perennial border.  It’s a far improved variety over the native North American Rudbeckias.  The foliage is a deep green and makes a tight bushy clump with the flowers rising well above the foliage.  The deep yellow daisy like petals surround a deep brown eyed center. We leave the seed heads throughout the winter for the wild birds that visit our gardens. Grows to 24-30″ tall.  Excellent cut flower.  Much loved by butterflies.  Perennial Plant of the Year in 1999.  Full sun. Perennial.
