Famous for its huge, hot pink outer petals and contrasting frilly yellow centers. One of the most strikingly beautiful Japanese peonies. Strong stems hold well in the rain.  Introduced around 1940. Early spring blooming. Grows 2-3′ tall. Full sun. Long lived perennial.
