Liatris ‘Floristan White’

Also known as Gayfeather. Selected from one of our native prairie wildflowers. Plants form a low clump of grassy looking leaves, bearing spikes of pure white flowers beginning in midsummer. This selection is compact in habit, especially useful in tubs or mixed containers. Drought tolerant. Attractive to butterflies.  Grows 24-30″ tall.  Common as a commercial cut flower.  Nice planted with purple ‘Kobold Blue’. Sun to partial shade. Perennial.
