Lamium ‘Beacon’s Silver’

Need a tough perennial ground cover?  Look no further!  Lamium will fit the bill.  It has small silver colored narrow leaves with a  nice deep green edge.  In the spring it delivers clusters of bright pink flowers.  It can take some dry soil if it’s in the shade, but needs ample moisture in the sun. Trim back to the ground in the fall. It’s also known as dead nettle and can cause some skin irritation so be sure to wear your gloves when working with it!  Grows 6-8″ tall. Deer resistant.
