A friend passed a few of these bulbs along to us and I had my doubts about how hardy it was until it survived 16-degree temperatures!  Some of the toughest, oldest crinums are Crinum powellii.  They grow to an impressive 4′ tall and are deer resistant, with beautiful 4″  white, lily-shaped blooms.
During the winter, as most crinums do in colder areas, the foliage will die down completely.
