Keep Calm and Garden on!
(Matricaria recutita)
Chamomile is a bushy herb that is often grown for it’s many practical and medicinal uses. It has anti-inflammatory and sedative properties. The flowers and leaves can be used for making a calming tea. The flowers have a slight apple scent and can also be used to add flavor to salads. Among it’s many other uses, chamomile is used to make yellow and gold dyes, added to baths and skin products for soothing skin, and is sometimes used to add gold highlights to blonde hair. A great helper as a tea on those ‘sleepless nights’. Full sun to part shade. Annual but self sows freely.
