We are proud to say that we never have & never will use any GMO (genetically modified) seeds!
In fact, we offer a great selection of heirloom variety vegetables, herbs and flowers. Also known sometimes as Heritage Seeds, they are generally 50 years old and many are 100 years or older. Some have incredible stories about how they arrived here and the people who grew them. They are open pollinated varieties which means that the pollen from one plant is carried to the next by means of the wind, insects or even birds. When seeds are passed faithfully from generation to generation, you can bet there’s a good reason why. If that seed didn’t produce plentifully, taste terrific, or withstand adversity, why would anyone pass it on?
If you are interested in growing flowers that you remember in your grandmother’s garden, vegetables that truly taste incredible, or would like the ability to save your own seeds, look for our purple colored tags with ‘Heirloom Variety’ across the top. These tried and true favorites won’t let you down!
