I sometimes wonder how I let myself get talked into these crazy ideas. I guess I’m considered old school. I still prefer my land line over my cell phone, I don’t pay attention to caller I.D. & I send cards & letters via the good old postal service rather than texting. So when a couple of my friends suggested I start a blog for my business I immediately dismissed it to that place in my brain that is somewhere between ‘not going to happen’ & ‘maybe someday’. But like most ideas it began to grow & then somehow take on a life of its own! I’ve often wondered over the years where all the plants I start end up. Did some pretty little Cosmo brighten a brides bouquet or a sweet viola bring a smile to someones face? What kind of fantastic, super, yummy dish did that Brandywine tomato make? Will this peony become a favorite in someones garden? These are all things I’ve pondered as I planted. I became sold on the idea of a blog as a way for me to finally connect with the gardeners that take the plants I started home. I thought if I’m curious about where these plants go & the gardeners who love them, then maybe they’re wondering about where it all begins. So, here I am jumping in with both feet. I hope in my ramblings you are encouraged & inspired.
Love, Shannon

I love it Shannon! It’s like bringing Hope Mountain Nurseries full circle. It would be cool if down the road you were able to see where some of your plantings did end up. Love you!
