Well I have to say March was a cruel month weather wise & April seems to be following suit!  It sure makes you appreciate the drier days.  The quote ‘To plant a garden is to hope in the future’, is so true.  Even though it’s been less than fun weather to work in the crew here at Hope Mtn. has been busy planting despite the rain & gloom. Here’s a few pictures of what we’ve been up to in the greenhouses recently.   This is our ‘plug popper’.  It works great for gently dislodging the baby plants from their cells, so that we can easily transplant them.  Some things like Zinnias are too tender to use this on, but it works fine for most things, like these petunias.

Here’s those same petunias, about three weeks after they were transplanted into pony packs.

I love how everyday something new comes into bloom!  These sweet little Arabis ‘Spring Charm’ have the loveliest scent & they bloom their little hearts out.

A small batch of Peonies almost ready to go.  I LOVE the Peonies I have planted in my yard.  They don’t require any special care and are one of the first things I notice poking their heads up in the spring.  I’ll post pictures when they bloom.  They are one of my all time favorite flowers!

I love my peonies too! They bring me joy every single year with their ruffly blooms. They are so feminine looking. =) Love you!

The petunias are my all time favorite. I always get them from Dillon’s Nursery. I plant bags hanging pots and a wheel barrel full of hummingbird loving color that lasts through into the fall. I can hardly wait to pick up this years beauties.

I am loving these posts! Especially the photos… I can smell the fresh air just looking at them!
Peonies are a personal favorite, as they were the main flower in our wedding : ) Unfortunately, it’s hard to make pretty things grow in the desert…
    Keep up the good work!
